Lazy....

It has been awhile since I have posted.. I have been lazy.. I check the blogroll just about everyday, but I don't comment much or post myself.. I haven't felt that I have had much to share. The most exciting thing going on now in my life right now (the baby in the belly) I really have no part in right now.. I don't get an update until our next Dr. Appt. Which is sometime in Dec. The waiting...its killer..

I have been lazy elsewhere too.. I have slacked in my workout/diet(gained 6 lbs back), studies, keeping up with the check book... I need to get more focus..

That's 151 beats per minute.. That is how fast the heart of our baby was beat today. Pretty cool.. I thought that we might have an ultrasound today but this was just as cool. So all you moms out there.. What does that tell us about the sex of the baby. Is it a boy or a girl? I heard theories based on the heart rate. What is your take.. You Dad's can chime in too.

The Official time of announcement has come..

Amy and I are going to have a baby..... Her due date is May 29th.. We are so excited and a little nervous at the same time.. So as you do the math in your head.. Amy is about 13 wks along now. We wanted to wait until after the 3 month mark to let everyone know.. But as I look at the blogroll.. This will not be a suprize to anyone.. A few slips have sunk our ship.. Just don't know who can keep a secret anymore..

There will be pictures to post but, I haven't scanned them in yet. The first one doesn't look like much either. A video would be better because you can see the heart pumping.

Amy has had a rough go in the beginning.. She has been in the hospital twice for dehydration. First time 36 hours, second only 8. But, She is doing better now.. The medicine they have her on for nausea is working great.

We are going to celebrate our third anniversary tonight with a little trip to the Bavarian Inn.. So until I return... BBH

laundramat fun..

I don't know the last time you went to the laudramat was, but I was there last night. And I must say that it was an enjoyable time.. Of course I was with great company (my wife), so that helps.. But haven fallen behind in the laundry duties. (Our apartment has coin laundry but it only has one washer and dryer(which doesn't work well) We decide to gang rush the laundry and get it all done in a short period of time by going to the local laundramat.. Because we were going right after I got off of work, we picked up a pizza and bread stix from Basil Boys, walked to BK for a couple of drinks and just enjoyed each others company listening to the whirring of the front loader washers. Which by the way are pretty fun to watch...

Find joy in the everyday chores of life and you will enjoy a happier life..

About the retreat...

I know that I posted on Friday about going on a mens retreat this past weekend. How about a little update.. Oops. I really can't tell you what went on. You know secret hand shakes and oaths, that kind of stuff. But it was nice to share a meal with some christian men and to learn about how God has bless their lives.. And believe me, if it wasn't for God's intercession in some of these men's lives.. I don't think that they would be here right now. Awesome stories.. But, I can't share them. I can tell you that I got a wingman out of this trip. Also known as a Fireman.. Someone who will go through the fire for you.. To save you, help you, be your friend. It is awesome to have one and an awesome responcibility too.

Keep your wingman lifted up... It was an awesome weekend..

Today is....

The day that I have looked forward to this week.. Friday.. Not just because it is the last day of work for the week but, it is the start of the men's retreat.. I am looking forward to it. I just don't know if I can wait for 5:30 to roll around. Then I get to rush off to the retreat.

Fantasy football update.. After a dismal start.. Things are looking up.. I have won my last two games against the leaders of the league. It might have been the fact that most of the first teams were on Bye.. But I like to think that my team is turning around.. So I might make it into the playoffs. Here is hopeing..

Been alot going on in my life.. One part in particular has been taking up alot of my time and concern. I can't wait to be able to share that part.. Soon..;)
