151 bpm

That's 151 beats per minute.. That is how fast the heart of our baby was beat today. Pretty cool.. I thought that we might have an ultrasound today but this was just as cool. So all you moms out there.. What does that tell us about the sex of the baby. Is it a boy or a girl? I heard theories based on the heart rate. What is your take.. You Dad's can chime in too.

I believe that the higher the rate, it is a girl. I think that stands true for all of my kiddies. Girls are high 140-150, boys tend to be in the 140, but that is just our experience. Are you going to find out the sex of the baby??? I think you are having a girl. I've been right about 90% of the time with other people. I reserve the right to change my mind=).

My middle child had a slow strong heartbeat and they predicted it would be a boy. 9 pounds at birth, able to eat ham sandwiches at 6 months, an engineer by trade, she is now 26!!!

Ultrasounds are not an exact science, well they can be misinterpreted. See things that aren't there. Jackie and I always enjoyed not knowing. But that was our choice. Jackie may have known early but I wouldn't let her tell me. There are a lot of therories about the sex of the child the heartbeat, how high or low the baby rides in the womb, the temperture, what the mother eats, etc... WE rejoice with you as you become new parents.
