Getting to know you....

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live underwater?  No, me neither.  Why is it that people like to ask off the wall thought provoking questions? Maybe to find out more about you, to have a better relationship with you.  Getting to know you.. For those of you that are married.

Where did you meet your wife/husband?

Is this your first marriage?

Kids?

How did the proposal happen?

Church..

Yes..

Not yet.. But working hard at it;)

It was March 31,, getting really close to April 1.. I didn't want it to seem like an April Fools joke and I didn't want to wait any longer to do it.. So it wasn't romantic but, I will not say that it wasn't special. We had just taken our first over the road trip as a couple to my brothers house to help him move. We had a good time. So when we got back to my parents house I proposed to Amy in my Bedroom.. It was close to 10:30pm I think... Amy will know for sure.. We told my parents and then I went with Amy to her house I proposed to Tom... Well asked him if it would be OK with him I asked for his daughter in marriage. (It was a little after the fact) I don't remember much more of the night.. I was just happy that she said yes.

ps. Amy you can give your account too. It is good to have both sides..

Where did you meet your wife/husband?

The University of Michigan Hospital 6C, my former and Sam's current place of employment.

Is this your first marriage?

Nope....though I will say it is my first sanctified marriage

Kids?
yes...3 here and 1 waiting on the other side(Nathaniel David 7/20/00)

Evan(3yrs, but he'll tell u 4)
Gracie (2yrs, and she jumps every time she says it)
Manny (4months next week)

How did the proposal happen?

well...to say we had a whirlwind romance is to put it mildly. Our first date was 12/28/98
Sam proposed to me 3 weeks later @ Connor O'Neil's Pub in AA after a concert @ The Ark...and after a conversation on the merits of co-habitation....I let him fill in the rest:p

I met Chris through a friend of mine at Western Mich. Univ. It was uphill ever since. Labor Day weekend of '95.

Yes.

Four-Brynn, Brett, Reese and Trinity

It was Dec. 24, 1996. It was snowing and he took me to a park and bent down on one knee and purposed. He too asked my dad for my hand in marriage. We then carved our initials into a tree--AWWWWWWWWW.

Where did you meet your wife/husband? I met Tonia at church. I remember distinctly walking through Tecumseh with the Youth Group after church my first night there. It was the summer of 1990. We were walking down the street of the Library and Tonia pointed out the school she was going to. She said something to the effect of, "That's the prison". Anyway, I looked over to see who said that and BAM! Those Eyes! Sooooooo blue. That smile! Majestic!! I was hooked from there!! (even though she was starting 7th grade and I was starting 10th..hehe)

Is this your first marriage? Yep

Kids? 1 crazy son Tanner Christian (2 years old)

How did the proposal happen? I got her a backpack (that she wanted) filled with gifts for Christmas 12/25/97. One of those gifts was a Christmas ornament, a bell. Inside the bell was a ring. She said yes! We picked our anniversary (6/11) to get hitched and 6 months was too soon, so we made it for June 11, 1999.
