Your being let go...

4 words you don't want to here at work or hanging 100 ft up in the air. So I am one of the many looking for a new job in Michigan. Pray that I am open to the Lord's direction and I am able to find a new job fairly soon. I have a little buffer but that will not last forever.

THE FOLLOWING IS UNSOLICITED BIG-BROTHERLY ADVICE. FEEL FREE TO IGNORE

Alright. Take some time and admit that this totally sucks. Yell, get mad, kick some stuff, blow off some steam. Job did it. Then HIT THE GROUND RUNNING!! Print 100 copies of your resume and get them all submitted as fast as you can. (repeat as needed.) You will get interviews. Be insanely confident. In the interviews KNOW that you are the answer, the perfect fit, THE ONE that a company is looking for. Your job is to figure out which company is the right one, but you treat every interview like it is the one, and that you were sent by God to solve that company's problems.

REMEMBER:
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"

Your God is in charge of your life. He's in charge of providing for your family's needs and He will NOT drop the ball on you. You have limitless potential, you are worth much more than what anyone can afford to pay you, so plan on being surprised by how much God is going to bless you through this experience.

Also remember:
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."

I saw this on an episode of Lost. John Locke shows Charlie a cocoon with a moth inside. He tells him that he could cut open the cocoon and free the moth, saving it hours of work and struggle, but the moth would shortly die, because it will be too weak. The moth needs the struggle of breaking through the cocoon so that it will be strong enough to survive. I love that freaking show!

Anyway, we love you and we're praying for you, and we are looking forward to hearing about your exciting new job!
