weekend project...

Last week while relaxing watching some TV, Amy and I decided that we really needed an ottoman to prop our feet up on to make the experience complete.. If you have ever shopped for new furniture you know that furniture of any kind is outrageously expensive. Amy suggested that we borrow one that her Parents had stored in the basement. (little do they know that it will be an extended stay) As you can see the original ottoman is nothing to write home about, and the upholstery did not match our furniture.

So we tore it apart.. Went shopping at Jo-Ann's, Lowes and totally rebuilt it. You can see that we were both heavily into the action.

Here is the finished product..

We are pretty proud of ourselves. Notice the nice storage compartment we added.. Beaut...

Mom is home and is doing really well.. I talked to her today and she sounded great. I don't remember what they called her problem but she has fully recovered. She is doing some physical therapy to get her muscles back in shape, besides that she is doing great.
